White Spot Treatment
White spots are commonly seen on teeth as a result of early cavities, orthodontic brackets, or developmental issues. Several years ago, the primary method of eliminating these spots involved removing some of the discolored enamel and replacing with a bonding material or porcelain veneer. Now we are able to use a minimally invasive protocol to mask these spots without having to physically alter the tooth surface. After applying a conditioner to the teeth, they are then sealed with a material that masks the white spots. This procedure does not even require anesthesia!
