Patient info

My first visit

We welcome the opportunity to help you improve your oral health and give you a winning smile. Your initial visit will allow us to evaluate any issues that you would like to address as well as any other issues that may also require attention. While we recommend that all new patients have a cleaning, comprehensive examination, and appropriate set of x-rays, we understand that in certain cases, new patients may wish to address a problematic issue first. For this reason, we can offer a few different types of initial visits: Problem-focused consultation (and treatment, if emergency issue) with Dr. Alan or Dr. Evan. Cleaning with hygienist, comprehensive examination, and further consultation with Dr. Alan or Dr. Evan. Regardless of the type of visit, we typically require some amount of digital x-rays to properly diagnose and screen for problems. For more information on the x-ray technology we use in our office, check out our Advanced Imaging page. For your convenience, you can fill out your registration forms online to save time at your first visit. You may also request an appointment online or call/text us at (973) 334-5556. We look forward to meeting you!

Financing & Insurance

Financing Options:

- CareCredit
- Ally

Insurances:

We participate with Aetna Dental Extend, Cigna DPPO, and Guardian Dentalguard Preferred Plus networks; however, we are happy to submit claims on your behalf as long as your insurance plan allows you to see an out-of-network provider. If you are out-of-network and would like to become a patient, we strongly suggest that you verify that you have out-of-network benefits before scheduling. As a courtesy, we can look into this for you prior to your first visit if you provide us with some basic personal and insurance information. We are also happy to file pre-determination of benefits before scheduling treatment if you wish.

Cosmetic dentistry focuses on the overall appearance of a patient’s smile including the color, position, shape, and size of the teeth. Understanding what a cosmetic dentist can do will help you decide what type of dentist you may need.

Is It Better to Get a Dental Implant or a Bridge?

When deciding on a restorative solution it is important to look at all of your options to help you decide on the best option that works for you. A common question patients face is if they should choose a dental bridge or dental implants when they are looking for a tooth replacement solution. Both are restorative solutions for missing teeth, and it is helpful to understand the differences. At our practice, we provide our patients with a thorough consultation to examine their teeth and mouth, and discuss the differences between all of the restorative options available. Our staff works closely with our patients to help choose the best solution.

Are Dental Implants Noticeable?

If you have missing, damaged, or broken teeth and are looking for the perfect restoration solution, dental implants may be the right choice for you. Dental Implants are a permanent solution and are durable and long lasting. Implants function like natural teeth, and allow patients to speak and eat normally. Implants are comfortable and do not slip or click like other restorative options.
